TCP before the world Shut down- Elizabeth College Visit

In February, we were delighted to host the annual visit from Elizabeth College, Guernsey. The school have been supporters of TCP and other local projects for many years, with one of the visiting teachers here for their fifth time. Sixteen students aged 16 / 17 and four staff camped at St Andrew's Schoool for six nights. Although their main project this year was building a toilet block at Green Park Nursery (about 10 minutes away), the group also spent time interacting with the children at TCP. One of the most moving parts of their visit was going on home visits with the TCP team. They took food parcels (donated by Elizabeth College) to some of the most needy TCP families. Some of the teenagers were bought to tears by the conditions they witnessed and it really brought home to them the importance of the work of TCP.

More fun activities included the annual handprinting on banners that are then hung around the TCP hall along with football and games with the children. Elizabeth College kindly also donated enough wood for a year and many clothes, toiltries and staionery. We thank them for their generosity and ongoing support of TCP.

Special thanks to Mrs Stephanie Hutton who was a big part of the successful visit and also for writing this article
