Dear all, We wanted to send a huge thank you to all of our supporters who enabled us to raise the money to replace the roof at Turi Children's Project. Whether you supported us with a one-off gift for Rachel's run or you are a regular donor, we appreciate you so much and couldn't have done this without you.
The new roof is up now and it look brilliant! It was just in time for the rainy season, which has started over the last few days, meaning the children will be warm, dry and happy when TCP reopens on 2nd May. We had been a little worried that it wouldn't look perfect as the iron sheets that were originally used back in 2012 when the hall was built are not made anymore so were not available. I think you will agree, however, that the new roof matches perfectly what we already so we really thank God for you and for all that has happened to renovate the main hall here.
Our next project is the play area. I'm sorry that this has not happened sooner (this is due to various difficulties this end) but talks are going well and I hope to give further updates of the work on this very soon.
Again, thank you for all you do to keep Turi Children's Project going in what has felt like uncertain times across the world. If you would like to get in touch about ways you can support, please do email as we would love to hear from you. We really hope that you've had a wonderful Easter and look forward to being in touch again soon. Warrm regards,
Rachel, Miriam, James and the TCP volunteers
